Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his signature style. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway to the Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine's real name is Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta, she originates out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing and playing the piano in church. She attended Spellman College and began to learn the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released exclusively in Japan It has been remixed since by numerous producers and is an essential part in her live show. The voice of hers was featured on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was the drummer in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) offered her an opportunity to be the choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was noticed by all of the country during daily performances of four at 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later requested to sing with the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
