Kolber is a native of Pennsylvania has earned her master's in the University of Miami. In New York City, she started her career as an CBS Sports Video Coordinator. She received a Sports Emmy in Miami during her tenure as a reporter at WTVJ-TV. Other assignments included WPLG-TV Miami and WPEC-TV West Palm Beach. The station hired her as an anchor for ESPN2 from 1993. She remained at ESPN2 until Fox Sports hired her. Her return to ESPN as a host in 1999.
