Ky-Mani and Praswell (Fugees) joined forces to create a memorable cover version of Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue". His star quality was visible when Ky-Mani performed live on the Midem stage during Miami in the year 2000, where the annual international concert was held for the very first time. Ky-Mani entertained a large audience from all over the world at the Cameo Theatre. The set was broadcast live by CANA (Caribbean News Agency) and was telecast to more than 36 countries. Ky-Mani has started working on his sixth studio album, which will reflect his growth as a person as well as show the diversity of his persona. It's a sound that's urban with roots in reggae and hip-hop. This album will be an interesting departure from the synthetic pop that is commonly used to describe this type of music. It will instead be authentic urban hip hop and reggaefusion. The new single "New Heights" is out March 3, 2011.
